IL Volo is Preparing a Special Christmas Album and European Tour Announced
I found this article [that I had to translate] that talked about Il Volo's Christmas album and European tour. The article said the Christmas CD is coming out in November, and there will be TWO cds. One is the international issue and one is the one with the four Christmas medleys.
The article also says that the boys have reached platinum in Italy and Venezuela, and they have reached gold status in the US, Austria, Mexico, France, Netherlands, Singapore, and Puerto Rico.
Il Volo's European tour kicks off in Paris, France November 3rd at the Teatro Folies Bergere. They will perform in 13 cities and their last performance will be on November 29.
I am SO PROUD of these boys! They are living out their dreams. <3
Blog Malfunction?
I'm not sure, but I think my blog is malfunctioning? Whenever I load my blog, the posts are darkened. I can't click, write comments, or anything... I am going to try to fix this! Sorry, guys! :(
*UPDATE** Thanks to help forums, I was able to find the issue! Sorry for the technical difficulties, but now my blog should be working fine!

IL Volo Announces Christmas EP, Out Nov. 21
IL Volo will release a Christmas EP on November 21, in a repackaged version of the IL Volo album internationally, and as a digital EP in the U.S. Recorded in July with producers Humberto Gatica and Tony Renis, the EP will feature the group's renditions of holiday classics "Silent Night," "Panis Angelicus," "The Christmas Song" with "American Idol" contestant Pia Toscano, and a medley of "Jingle Bell Rock," "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" and "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year."
Also on tap for Il Volo's holiday season is a PBS concert special the group filmed on October 27 at the Detroit Opera House, produced by famed Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich. The special will premiere for Detroit PBS affiliate WTVS' local pledge drive in December and then roll out nationally in March.
The teenage tenors Il Volo - Piero Barone 18, Ignazio Boschetto 17 and Gianluca Ginoble 16--have been receiving unanimous raves for their vocal talent and showmanship. The New York Times called them "awesome opera singers" and the NY Daily News raved, "If you've never heard them sing 'O Sole Mio' or other classics in their rep, then be prepared to be blown away." "Il Volo wring every ounce of emotion from the classical-crossover material on their self-titled debut, then find just a bit more to extract," praised The Village Voice. They were also recently featured in Billboard's "21 Under 21: Music's Hottest Minors."
Their self-titled Geffen Records debut, produced by Grammy Award winning producer Humberto Gatica (Josh Groban, Michael Bublé) and Tony Renis debuted in the Top 10 in the U.S. and seven other countries and at No. 1 on the Billboard Classical Albums chart and has sold over half a million records globally. The Spanish version of "IL Volo" also topped the Latin Pop chart. The group were nominated for two Latin Grammy's including Best New Artist and Best Pop Album by a Group. The Latin Grammy's air live November 10 from Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay.Il Volo, who just wrapped up a 17-date North American tour, has performed on major national TV shows since their May release, including American Idol, The Today Show, Ellen, Leno, The Talk as well as the final episode of HBO's Entourage. Their astonishing vocal talent was first heard on the Italian hit TV show, "Ti Lascio Una Canzone (Leaving You A Song)."Il Volo with Pia Toscano Pictures

Is it just me, or does it look like something is going on between Pia and Ignazio? I bet they are just friends... for now! O__o
