IL VOLO Forever: What Do the Lyrics Mean?

IL VOLO

What is IL VOLO? IL VOLO (meaning Flight in Italian) is an Italian singing group consisting of Piero Barone (18), Gianluca Ginoble (17), and Ignazio Boschetto (17). They met on an Italian singing competition Ti Lascio Una Canzone in 2009. Gianluca won the competition, and they soon formed IL VOLO after.

The trio has gone platinum in Italy and their album IL VOLO is available internationally. They also have a Spanish album featuring their songs translated into Spanish and a few new tracks. They have been nominated for two Latin grammys.

They are releasing an EP (extended play) Christmas album on November 21 (an international issue and a four track issue). The album will feature "Silent Night", "Panis Angelicus", "The Christmas Song", and a medley of "Jingle Bell Rock" "Let It Snow" and "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year".

Il Volo's genre is not Pop or Opera, rather they are Operatic Pop.

They have recently performed on American Idol, The Ellen Show, Good Day LA, The Talk, Entourage, and The Jay Leno show.
